Who we are

Our story

This is the story of Ivan and Marko, two best friends who craft wholesome, healthy, and delicious turkey prosciutto to share with the world.

It’s also the story of their wives, two little rascals – Dušan and Andrej (for now), their parents, families, Marko’s brother-in-law Dejan (the man without whom deliveries would be much slower) and a bunch of friends always ready to pitch in with peeling garlic, making deliveries, or their favorite part – tasting the latest batch of turkey prosciutto.

The star of our story is the turkey Pršutica, a healthy delicacy we take immense pride in and stand behind 100%.

The Process

How we craft our turkey prosciutto

Our recipe is no secret. We do everything the traditional way, just like in the old days, but with our own signature touch and a lot of heart.

Pršutica contains only three ingredients:

Premium turkey breast meat

Himalayan salt

+

Garlic

for that special, authentic kick

To be clear: emulsifiers, preservatives, and additives are on our “black list” – they don’t stand a chance of finding their way into our prosciutto.

The entire process is done by hand with plenty of patience and love. It takes 5 to 6 weeks to create those perfect pieces.

During the first week, the meat is placed in a brine of Himalayan salt and garlic to rest and cure.

The garlic we use is not the infamous imported kind often referred to as “Chinese,” it's homegrown, from the Vujanić family farm in Svilajnac, the hands behind the ORO NERO brand.

3.

After curing, the pieces move to the smokehouse, where they are gently smoked over beechwood for the next week.

4.

Then, we let the wind take over and we simply watch and wait. There’s no rushing this stage – nature does its thing, and we respect that.

5.

Once perfectly dried and ready, we vacuum-seal them (staying fresh for at least a year), wrap them in paper, and bring them to your table.

Since everything is handcrafted, every single piece of Pršutica is unique and one-of-a-kind. Packages vary in size, typically weighing anywhere between 300g and 600g.

Some packs feature one larger piece, while others have two smaller ones, but whichever you choose, you can’t go wrong.
