We can’t find the words to describe how happy we felt that day, looking back at the 8 new pine trees we planted in Kalemegdan Park.
Why 8, you ask? Is there a special meaning behind it?
Absolutely. Earlier this year, we made a promise to plant one tree for every season we’ve been in business. It’s our way of giving back to the planet for everything it has gifted us. Since we’ve just completed eight wonderful seasons of crafting Pršutica, we rolled up our sleeves and planted our first trees. And don’t worry, we aren’t “eco-guerrillas” planting trees at random! We did this as part of a much larger initiative called “A Tree for the Future,” organized by the 1% Foundation.
Now all that’s left is to hope our little pines take root and grow strong. We’ll visit them regularly and take good care of them, so in the years to come they can offer us all a bit more oxygen and shade.
